This is the Tactical Adaptability Group strategic resource library — the playbooks, templates, and tools we use with clients, made public.

It is written for one specific reader: the person who has to make AI work inside a real organization. Not the researcher, not the hobbyist — the founder, operator, or team lead who has to ship something and stand behind it.

Pick a path

You do not need to read this site front to back. Pick the lane that matches what you are doing this week.

I am planning my first AI project

You need foundations and a clear-eyed view of what you are signing up for.

  1. The Executive's AI Glossary — the vocabulary, in plain English.
  2. AI Readiness Assessment — score your organization honestly.
  3. The Modern AI Tech Stack — the four-layer reference architecture.
  4. PRD Guide — how to write a brief that an AI agent can actually build from.
  5. AI Use Cases by Function — concrete starting points by department.

I am building or buying an automation or agent

You are past planning. You need patterns.

  1. Workflow Audit Guide — pick what to automate first.
  2. Chatbots: Build vs. Buy — and when to do neither.
  3. CREATE Framework and RTF Methodology — the prompt patterns that work.
  4. Agents Overview — when an agent is the right answer (and when it is not).
  5. Role, Goal, Backstory — strict instructions for agents that touch real systems.

I need to govern AI inside the organization

You are responsible for what happens when AI is in the building.

  1. AI Policy Framework — the policy template, ready to adapt.
  2. Change Management for AI — how to make adoption stick.
  3. Agent Governance & HITL — the production controls every agent needs.
  4. Agent Security — prompt injection, PII, secrets, tool scopes.
  5. Hallucination Prevention Protocol — keep AI outputs grounded in truth.

I just want the tools

Calculators and checklists, no theory.

  1. ROI Calculator — model the savings from one automation.
  2. Automation Audit Checklist — find the low-hanging fruit.
  3. Dev Environment Comparison — pick where to build.
  4. AI Cost Management — keep token spend predictable.
  5. AI Tool Selection — vendor rubric and RFP questions.

What you will not find here

  • Marketing fluff about how AI will change everything.
  • Vendor cheerleading. Where we recommend a tool, we say why.
  • "Just use this prompt" magic. Every template here ships with the why and the trade-offs.

A note on philosophy

Two ideas run through every page:

  1. Strategic decisions, tactical adaptability. Pick a direction, but build so you can swap pieces as the technology moves under you.
  2. Own your data, rent your intelligence. Models are commodities. Your data, workflows, and judgment are the moat.

If a page is unclear, broken, or missing something you needed — that is signal we want.
